There certainly is not a style to driving in Boston........
- Drivers in Boston never block intersections....
- Drivers in Boston never double park...or park on roads with no room for parking....
- Drivers in Boston never honk their horn....I certainly didn't have reason just this morning to use mine........
- Drivers in Boston never get parking tickets......
- Drivers in Boston never have to sit for hours in parking lot traffic....in a tunnel......
- Drivers in Boston always assume they can just 'go around the block' to fix a wrong turn......The roads are totally not derived from cow paths and the blocks are very square........
- There are not unwritten rules for certain intersections.........ie. turning lanes that aren't marked.....
- Always mess with the Budwiser trucks......they certainly do not just pull out in front of anyone....during rush hour traffic.......
- Always pass the buses.....they will never challange you.....
- Rotaries or round abouts are all the same......There are certainly not different rules depending on where and what town/city you are in.....
- Driving 5 miles would never take you 45 minutes.......How absurd is that?
- Never carry a 200+ map of Boston and the suburbs when you are driving......You won't need it....
- Even if you know the area well, never bother with back roads/side streets or other 'short' cuts.....There's never a reason for it......
- Never feed a meter so you can stay parked for longer than 1 or 2 hours......No one ever does it....
- Even if you don't have to drive to where you are going in Boston, drive anyway, because it is always easy to find a place to park.....
- There's certainly nothing more to add to this list........I certainly haven't forgotten anything.....
And while Boston may not be fun in the Fall.........It is certainly not even better with all of the Christmas lights that will soon being going up......
Cheers!

I could not stand being stuck in traffic in a tunnel. I guess I better not visit Boston at rush hour =)
hehe...maybe that's why I always envisioned Boston as more of a walking city! :)
guy needs to at least accidentally give you 6 pack ... LOL
Wow so enjoying not leaving the house :)
Oh man! I hear you! I hate driving in Boston. The drivers are horrible...and the people are just as bad walking in front of cars all the time! UGH! I was stuck in the tunnel once for 4 hours in the middle of July, and to top it off my AC was not working. Lovely!
Traffic brings out the worst in me.....I have had so little time to do any blog reading and I have missed it...stop by my Christmas blog and leave a comment. The giveaway is a great Christmas CD to add to your collection.

Thank goodness for the subway in Boston. I've been once and we walked or took the T everywhere. Loved that.
Jealous of the square blocks, though. The ATL is so confusing about that.
